Nov 17-Dec 31, 2017 - Southern Lights

The annual Southern Lights Holiday Festival takes place Nov. 17-Dec. 31 at the Kentucky Horse Park. With three full miles of lights, this family-friendly festival has an eye-popping, selfie-worthy array of holiday displays. Drive through the lights, then enjoy park activities: local crafts, model trains and mini train rides, visits with Santa, pony and camel rides, an exotic petting zoo and more. Regularly chosen as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, the festival is open 5:30-10:00 p.m. (except for Thanksgiving night and Dec. 24-31). Dec 8-10 & 15-20, 2017 - Ward Hall Candlelight Tours

Step inside Ward Hall, one of the nation’s finest Greek Revival-style mansions, trimmed for the holidays and illuminated with dozens of candles. Learn the history of this 12,000-square-foot villa, built for $50,000 (which was paid in gold) and completed in 1857, at Ward Hall’s annual Candlelight Tours from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 8-10 & 15-20. Tickets are purchased at the door. $7 for adults and $5 for children. 

 

April 21-22, 2018 - Georgetown Kite & Culture Festival

As spring returns to Kentucky so does the Annual Georgetown Kite and Culture Festival. The festival is a celebration of international cultures paired with exciting food, music, cultural demonstrations and kite flying. Come fly a kite with the Georgetown Rotary Club on the historic grounds of the Cardome Centre in Georgetown, Kentucky. Don't have a kite? No worries - kites will be available for purchase on site at one of the many booths. Other activities include free children's games and inflatables.

 

April 26-29, 2018 - Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event

The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is one of the most prestigious equestrian competitions in the world and the only Four Star Event in the Western Hemisphere. This event draws more than 100,000 spectators to the Kentucky Horse Park during the last weekend of April to enjoy the Olympic sport of Eventing. The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event welcomes some of the best horses and riders from all over and is seen by millions on worldwide telecasts, including a telecast on NBC in the United States.
