Celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week with us
It may be stay-at-home time, but National Travel and Tourism Week calls for a celebration that honors the thing we love to do most: travel, explore, learn, discover. Whether it’s in our own backyard, the next town over or a country on the other side of the ocean, we may have to postpone an in-person visit, but we still yearn to learn about it and we can plan our trip for the future.
Here are several ways Georgetown/Scott County Tourism has joined together with the Georgetown community to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week, May 3-9:
• We invite you to join us on a Virtual Road Trip Takeover, featuring our new video hosted by Country Boy Brewing founder Daniel Harrison, or DH as he is known locally: https://youtu.be/j_6EAarm4XQ.
• We are creating a new video starring . . . tada! . . . our own Georgetown locals sharing why Gtown is their town.
• We are asking locals to create the perfect itinerary for visitors. Hmmm. With so much to choose from in Georgetown – we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
• We are having fun at home – and hoping to spread it to yours – by sharing brand new goodies Monday through Friday on our Facebook and Instagram channels.
