Be Savage/Never Average. Not Bossy/Aggressively Helpful. Kentucky Original.

Whatever you want to tell the world, Elizabeth Emonds can help you say it, in style.

Elizabeth owns Elizabeth’s Tee’s and More, a small business located in a little brick house shared with Karla’s Kuts in Stamping Ground. Her specialty is tee-shirts – any and all kinds, from bleached to non-bleached and in sizes ranging from infant to adult. She also does “anything and everything sublimation” (the process of transferring an image from paper to fabric or other material via heat), from tees to tumblers, blankets to pillow cases, earrings to mouse pads and more.

“I try to do any design my customers bring to me,” said Elizabeth. “I accept any size order, from one shirt to 300-plus shirts.”

Wasted on You. Nana Life.

These two designs were among Elizabeth’s favorites this winter; in fact, churning out these designs kept her and her sister, Christine Collins, busy all season.

“I stay swamped with bleaching and everything else here at the shop, so Christine took on the paint splatter shirts for me at her house to help lighten my load.
No matter how heavy the load, though, Elizabeth always appreciates having her business in Stamping Ground.
“No matter how small or large the order is, I know each of my customers and they know me,” she said. “Most have become very good friends. They take time to ask me about myself and my family and ask how business is doing. They genuinely want to see me succeed and that means the world to me.”

When Elizabeth lost her dad unexpectedly last September, and subsequently closed her shop for most of the month, the entire community rallied around her.

“They stood behind me and gave me time to grieve and get my mind back in the business. They could have easily found someone else to make the shirts they wanted, but they reached out to me daily and held off until I could be back and do it for them.

“To me, that says a lot about a community and its people, and I couldn’t imagine having my business in any other town!

This shop owner loves Stamping Ground’s small-town charm and having her own cheering section among fellow small business owners.

“The small businesses here all look out for each other, and we all try to help each other out,” said Elizabeth. “We genuinely want nothing but the best for each other.”Elizabeth 27

If Elizabeth was printing a tee-shirt for herself, the message is clear. It would say, “Small Business Big Dreams.”

Locally, Elizabeth Tee’s and More has worked with Poor Man’s Diner, Commonwealth Tool, Buffalo Spirits, Rob Jones Electric and Stamping Ground City Hall. Whether personal orders or small or large commercial orders, Elizabeth tries to offer fast turnaround time – something that can be a bit challenging with current supply issues. What she always offers, though, is her all.

“I am the only person that works here so I take pride in everything that leaves this shop,” she said.

All Elizabeth Tee’s are 100 percent customizable, including the color and style of the shirt, sweatshirts included. In addition to the shirts, the shop offers Candleberry Candles and small gift items and accessories. Additionally, the shop has two tanning beds and sells single visits and packages along with tanning lotions and goggles for tanning.

Elizabeth’s Tee’s and More offers curbside pickup and delivery on special occasions. Customers will find a large pickup box on the front porch for those preferring this option. The shop doesn’t have a website as Elizabeth does everything “old-school” through referrals and word of mouth.
