Georgetown/Scott County Tourism Creates Passport in Efforts to Spread Love to Downtown Businesses.
GEORGETOWN, KY - FEBRUARY 3, 2017 – The month of February kicks off a time of love and admiration in Georgetown, Kentucky. Georgetown/Scott County Tourism presents the town’s first “Love Your Downtown” Passport during February 6-28th hoping to encourage locals and frequent guests to visit the wide variety of Downtown Georgetown businesses.
The “Love Your Downtown” Passport contains over 20 businesses in the downtown area including popular restaurants, fashion boutiques, and beauty salons. Participants who visit at least eight of the Passport locations will be eligible to win a basket of merchandise donated by the Downtown Georgetown businesses. A Passport is considered complete when eight or more locations on the Passport are signed by the corresponding businesses. Purchases are not required at locations. Visiting the Scott County Arts & Cultural Center or the Georgetown/Scott County Museum doubles a participant’s chances to win. The winner of the grand prize will be contacted during the first week in March.
With over 50 unique Downtown businesses, Georgetown’s Downtown is considered one of the areas prized tourist attractions. The Victorian-era buildings along Main St. compliments the friendly faces found throughout the community.
