August 18, 2018 - Party in the Park

Sit back in a lawn chair or relax on a blanket and enjoy live performances from some of the hottest central Kentucky bands! The Party in the Park summer concert series features a wide-range of genres including music from older classics to today’s latest hits. Bring your kids, your neighbors, your pets, & most importantly… your dancing shoes to Royal Spring Park at 104 S. Water St. in Downtown Georgetown! Performer: Rocksteady, 7-10 p.m. Theme: Back to School Bash. Free to the public!

 

August 24-26, 2018 - New Zion's 150th Anniversary Celebration

Scott County celebrates 150 years since the founding of New Zion with a weekend long party, Aug. 24-16. The celebration includes live blues music; a street fair with arts and crafts vendors, pig roast, fried chicken and more; an old fashioned basket meeting with Sunday morning and evening services and home-cooked dinner; and Back to Basic Gospel Singing. Lawn chairs and coolers welcomed.

 

September 7-9, 2018 - Festival of the Horse

Celebrate the role of the horse in the heart of the Bluegrass! The 38th annual Festival of the Horse will be held September 7-9, 2018 in Historic Downtown Georgetown.
