November 29-December 31, 2019 - Southern Lights Holiday Festival

The annual Southern Lights Holiday Festival takes place at the Kentucky Horse Park. With three full miles of lights, this family-friendly festival has an eye-popping, selfie-worthy array of holiday displays. Drive through the lights, then enjoy park activities: local crafts, model trains and mini train rides, visits with Santa, pony and camel rides, an exotic petting zoo and more. November 30, 2019 - Small Business Saturday

Shop small and celebrate your community with the small businesses that make it special – this is the mission of Small Business Saturday, a promotion launched by American Express in 2010 to encourage people across the country to support small, local businesses. With dozens and dozens of independently-owned shops and boutiques, galleries and restaurants – many located in its picturesque Victorian-era downtown, Georgetown makes it easy to support this annual shopping tradition with promotions and discounts at participating small businesses.


December 6-8 & 13-17, 2019 - Ward Hall Candlelight Tours

The grand and gracious Greek-Revival-style mansion, Ward Hall, will be resplendent with the glow of dozens of candles during its annual Christmas Candlelight Tours, this year taking place Dec. 6-8 and 13-17. Explore this 12,000-square-foot villa that was paid for in $50,000 in gold when it was built in the 1850s and hear the stories of Sallie Ward, the “Belle of Louisville,” who loved nothing more than scandalizing polite society.


December 7, 2019 - Home for the Holidays

Come “Home for the Holidays,” on Dec. 7 when Georgetown/Scott County Tourism Commission presents its annual Christmas tree lighting and parade, activities and open houses. Picturesque with its Victorian streetscape and buildings – 200 are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places – downtown Georgetown will be decorated for the holidays and ready to welcome Santa during the parade at 6pm.
