The only park of its kind in the world, the Kentucky Horse Park is a working horse farm, educational theme park, equine competition facility, and equine office park dedicated to man’s relationship with the horse. This 1,224-acre equine park is based in Lexington with over 200 acres in the Georgetown/Scott County area. Featuring dozens of different breeds of horses at work and at play, the Park showcases the horse in daily equine presentations, horse drawn tours, museums dedicated to the history of the horse, and horseback and pony rides during the main summer season. The Kentucky Horse Park is Kentucky’s largest state-owned tourist attraction and the largest attraction in central Kentucky



The Kentucky Horse Park opens for its Main Season March 31 and will be open Wednesday-Sunday, 9am-5pm. (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays)

During the main season guests enjoy a scenic horse-drawn trolley tour and live equine presentations that includes the Hall of Champions Show, Parade of Breeds, Draft Horse Demonstration, and the Kentucky Derby Winner Nightcap.

Horseback riding will be available Monday through Sunday. Wednesday-Sunday: Reserve at Visitor Center on the day of your visit; Monday-Tuesday: No walk-ups. Reserve your ride at the Visitor Center Wednesday-Sunday. Load Times: 12:15 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:45 PM

Due to public health restrictions, the reopening of the Horse Park will not include Alltech Arena. The Iron Works Café will remain closed. Grab and go food items will be available in the park’s gift shop.
