Veterans Wildlife Management Area
Hunt and fish at this heavily wooded, 2,500-acre habitat made wild with hardwood forests, shrublands and grasslands. Home to game species and migratory birds, reptiles and amphibians, it shelters threatened and endangered species, including the bobolink, bald eagle and golden-winged warbler, and features a fishing pond with bank access.
Acquired by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, the undeveloped land is a hub of public hunting, fishing and wildlife recreation in central Kentucky. Veterans WMA is located approximately 3 miles north of Georgetown and 2 miles south of Sadieville, adjacent to I-75 between Exit 129 south and Exit 136 north. Rogers Gap Road.
